I had a lovely day last Saturday at the Crafty Vintage Fair.  

I could have spent a fortune.

 My sister was also at the Fair selling her stunning paper cut work deckle-edged   

Here, a very poor picture taken by me of her work 'Storm in a Teacup'

Can you see the whale's tail at the front of the cup and the anchor!

 I wanted to tell you that I have been published, in a book.

Mixed Media articles from the first six years of Cloth Paper Scissors have been collated into a book of inspiration and techniques for mixed media work.

In the article I explained how I worked on old envelopes...

 Here is the process explained...

 At the back of the book is a page dedicated to the Contributors.

I can't believe it really.

Back to last Saturday's Fair...

the day was made even more special by being opposite rachel barker...

oh my, oh my...

Being the greedy so and so that I am, I wanted everything...

 The hand made plate at the back here...absolutely gorgeous.

 I couldn't stop staring at her work all day and at every given moment I was drawn to stand in front of her exhibit.

and finally, a few pieces popped into my Etsy shop.

 The fabric I used for the purses here, I think is 1940's, it has embroidery transfer design applied, which I have used as a back drop to my screen printed designs and embroidery etc.   
Lined with cotton ticking.

 A needlecase made from vtg French Mangle Cloth.

I wanted to show you pictures I took, of my fav artists' work at shirehall Stafford.

'SMILE'

It made me smile, but also made me want to cry, as I adore all of the following artists' work...

Julie Arkell, Lucy Casson, Janet Bolton, Abbott and Ellwood.

There were other pieces from various artists, but I have been self indulgent and just posted pics of my particular favs :-)

Such a mouth wateringly, inspiring Exhibition.

Moving on...

couple of purses popped into my online shops.

I have been holding onto stuff that I have made recently,

 as

 calling all you Shropshire Lads and Lasses!!!

I will have a stand at the Crafty Vintage Market,

this coming Saturday 22nd October at Lydbury North.   

Looking forward to it very much, as I will be amongst some very fine artists, dealers and their wares.
