Someday you might find your hero, some say you might lose your mind...

Noel Gallagher - What a life
Hello.
I think my all time favourite subject to study and draw are
birds.
Infinate shapes, sizes, colours, textures and personalities
stirs the imagination.

Elongated bodies...

Dingly dangly legs

Thoughts for embellishing handbags and purses...

and maybe into a mixed media piece...

or a zipped purse...

but then 'Dirk the Dog' sneaks back every now and again...
Front and back of gadget case...

I am working very hard towards building stock for vintageandhandmade fair, 3rd December...

Textile heart brooches a plenty...

and more brooches made from old kid leather gloves...

Well, I still have lots to do and ideas to make.
Hope to see you there.
Thank you very much for stopping by. x

I feel love for the first time and I know that it's true, I can tell by the look in your eyes...

Hello!

I visited thecountryliving Fair at Islington, London for the first time yesterday.
Just in case you have never been, here are a few pics...
Met up with friend Jacquie (Kittys).
Here is the lovely lady herself, in front of her stand.

Totally in love with the original 50's/60's kitchen cabinets,
sold the first day!
Another lovely lady janconstantine  and her fabulous embroidered cushions and hangings.

Gorgeous, gorgeous things to buy...as you would expect.

The sublime carolinezoob

Views across the fair...

 A really great day.
Jacquie is now on her way to have a stand at the Glasgow Country Living Fair.
I don't know how she does it, as my legs were having trouble coping with a one day visit!
I suppose I spend too much time on my honed and toned, dimple free derriere
(ahem, well I can dream),
making the likes of these ...

All made with beautiful handmade fabrics, Liberty Lawns and vtg materials.
Have a great week...
Thank you so much for stopping by. x

Who am I to disagree...

Hello my friends out there.
Thank you for your continued support and friendship.

Just a few snippets I wanted to tell you about...

The lovely Katie of madebyhandonline created this advertisement for
Elle Magazine,
with a vintage theme,
which will be on sale first week December.
So very happy Katie chose to use one of my purses for part of the ad!
Lets hope it brings lots of new custom to madebyhand, as in this world of mass production,
it is a joy to visit a web site supporting handmade pieces.

Talking of handmade,
 67 brooches created for
9-13th November
Business Design Centre,
London
They will be with the wonderful Jacquie,
on her stand...

So if you are going to the fair, please stop by and say 'hello' to Jacquie,
she is a superstar. x

I made a hole in my finger, I did so much stitching :-)

Onto other handmade things.
Purses made with lovely old linen, with tatting and embroidery.

There is always a needlecase or two, to be shown here and this post is no exception.

Well that's me for today.
thank you for stopping by. x
