They love me like I was a brother, they protect me, listen to me...

Hello!

We have been very busy here at Hen's Teeth Heights,
well, some of us have been busy,
he's just a chillin'...

A few pieces to show you for the forthcoming vintage and handmade fair.
The link is Jayne's blog (co-organiser).
Jayne has just posted a lovely write up about the Fair.

A sweet little lozenge tin,
where a bunny lives, amongst the flowers.
 Lots of purses...

 cross body bags...
 needlecases...

 brooches...
Every now and then I look up from my stitching and enjoy the view from my window...Contorted Willow tree bedecked with Clematis Montana and in the distance the large Hawthorn hedge, pure white and glowing in the sunshine, against a perfect blue sky..bliss.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing, ain't pretty and my legs are thin...

Hello!

It has taken a full week for me to get my act together and post pics of last Thursday's
Decorative Living Fair at Eridge Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, organised
by Caroline Zoob and Hetty Purbridge.
Despite the appauling weather, the Fair was perfect in every way.
I managed to take a few pictures of the day.  So sorry they are not linked, but they are just a taster of the exquisite stands and gorgeous and desirable decorative pieces to buy.

Just look at the stone rabbit and the lettice plant :)

I had a perfect day.   I had the best of friends visit me, who thoroughly spoilt me/us.
The current husband and I were surprised by a visit from our eldest girl, who had left home over three months ago for a job in London...needless to say the tissues were needed by her Mother, who completely lost all composure.
I met some wonderful bloggy friends and made new friends with fellow stall holders.
Sold purses, bags and brooches to lovely ladies....

Thank you so much to all involved for such a splendid day!

Now, back on planet Hen's Teeth, I am making like a woman possessed for vintageandhandmade Fair at Chipping Sodders on 26th May.

As this is a creative blog, I tend not to mention personal or private matters, but I would just like to say that after two breast biopsies for a lump I found, I have just had six very worrying weeks and have happily now been given the 'all clear'.
Just to say, (and I know you don't need me to tell you) but,
please don't forget to check yourselves regularly girls.
I am feeling very relieved and thankful, right now.

Thanks for stopping by. x

Hello!

My Haberdashery Brooch Workshop, last Saturday.
What a smashing day.
Work desks with all manner of interesting sewing ephemera...

Beautiful work made in a day, that sped by...

by these gorgeous ladies, all looking studious at their sewing...
there was much fun, laughter, gossip, inspiration shared by the like minded ...
Thank you ladies for making the workshop such a wonderful day.
I will be announcing Workshop dates soon, I was thinking ... mid July?
Thanks for stopping by. x
