Just a short little post this week, as not much to report. The week has flown in a blur of work, backward and forwarding to work and then the usual stuff 'n' housework but it has all been much more pleasant to join the rat race of late because, as we all know.... Spring is coming, slowly but surely and I for one are so happy. For me, as I remember saying this time last year, it's like emerging from a long dark tunnel into the light. Thankful sigh!
Changing the subject, we went to the flicks in the week and saw Avatar. Not only did we see Avatar but we saw it in 3D!!! Wow! Although, there was a lot of beasty and avatar/human fighting, it was so glorious and beautiful. Like the most colourful mixture of all the most exquisite things a mind could imagine. I did enjoy losing myself in such a glorious film for a couple of hours.
And...onto this weeks' makes. Again, not much to report really but I do love playing with this lot...
Sweet little bird pendant...

ReplyDeleteI still haven't seen Avatar, I really must. I love your tins, they are so special, they look like you should find old threepenny bits in them (showing my age!).
ReplyDeleteI went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D yesterday, my first experience of a 3D film. It was brilliant, now am seriously wishing I'd seen Avatar too.

ReplyDeleteYour necklace is so spring-like and sweet. Love the little collage in the tin. A friend just gave me a tin of Altoids dark chocolate mints. I might have to give it a makeover when all the little tasty bits are gone. Thanks for inspiring! Have a beautiful week. Tammy

ReplyDeleteI saw Avatar and the sound was so loud it came up through my feet rather than in through my ears, I really thought I was going to have heart failure! Mx

ReplyDeleteLove the beading!!!
tWeeT tWeeT ~@~ happy spring ...almost!
The tin is exquisite. Better not to embellish the outside then the inside is even more of a surprise.
ReplyDeleteThe bird song is a nice touch, it put me in the garden rather than in a boat though.

Gorgeous work as always Viv. Evie and I went to the pictures last night. It was a toss up between Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. Alice won but would still like to see Avatar. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Viv - you're such a busy bee. I just love your embroidered tin interior! Bye for now, Lesley
ReplyDeletePS I saw 'Alice in Wonderland' in 3D at the Odeon in Leicester Square. Great visual effects, with a good bit of the filming having taken place in Cornwall, at Antony House and Charlestown Harbour. Bfn, Lesley
These are exquisite, Viv! Thanks for the info about the Ludlow event - Kirstie has sent me an invitation but sadly I can't make it - looks to be a wonderful day though. I wish there were 48 hours in a day and 14 days in a week!
ReplyDeleteHi Viv, just to let you know that you are a very 'worthy' winner of my blog's give-away: one of my orchid pendants. I've just sent an email and would be very grateful if you could let me have your postal address. Many thanks and congratulations too!
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
Some gorgeous beads you have there and that tin is very funny. I have heard so many good reports of Avatar. Sounds like something I should be seeing.
ReplyDeleteHi Viv, thank you for stopping by and for the good wishes for Frasse, but unfortunately he is terminally ill and has not much time left so we are very sad and down at the moment as he has been a dear companion for so many years... But you´ve just been through all this, so you know how we feel.
ReplyDeleteYour necklace + tin are lovely, you make such gorgeous stuff - I love visiting your blog!
Take care and enjoy spring, we´re a couple of weeks behind here but I can´t wait and I feel it in the air, too.
Bye Kirsten
