A date for the diary dear friends. Looking forward very much to exhibiting at Selvedge Winter Fair
Looking at the list of Exhibitors is a little daunting though...there is going to be some mighty fine and beautiful wares to tempt.
Anyway, onto Hens Teeth wares....these purses seem to be raising a smile, as Lavinia is the 'Keeper of the buttons'.

You will, no doubt, remember the 'Threads of Feeling' Exhibition at Foundling Museum, London a couple of years ago? Deeply moving...the exhibits have stayed with me, particuarly since revisiting the Museum in March this year, for the 'Fate, Hope and Charity' Exhib.
The piece below is inspired by those Ledgers and Entry Books...I wanted to create a work that has a sad beauty.
Worked on a 1851 envelope.
Very old textiles and a wax seal, which I pressed a button into.

Onto a little mixed media piece, applied to the back of a Lozenge tin and hanging from a Lace bobbin.
