Lots of stitchery going on over the last week or so...
Bobby the Bunny textile wall hangings...
Dirk and Kit greetings cards...
Lavinia pin cushions...filled with rice and lavender...
Two lovely treasuries that I am so happy to be part of...
You may recall our youngest daughter is just about to start her second year at Uni, studying Makeup and Prosthetics for Film, Theatre and Media.
She obviously needs practice and we thought maybe Mom in drag makeup would be good fun.
My eyebrows were blocked, false eyelashes and a beauty spot (ha!) applied...scary isn't it?

I was proud of the fact that i could pick out your work in the small pics for Etsy,I really think you do the most amazing unusual work and I have not seen a piece I did not love yet!

ReplyDeleteLove the drag make up, what fun. I saw a fashion show today and the models were all ballerinas. Their makeup wasn't dissimilar!
I'm not sure which one I utterly adore the most, Lavinia or 'Mum, The Drag Queen' - I want to {{{{hug}}}} you both! I was just thinking how fun it would be to have Lavinia in larger scale as a cushion. X

the pincushiosn and the bunny..oh ohoh.. The purse has not arrived yet, but I wait with baited breath..
I am now racking my brains to think who I could send one of those amazing cards to. My self may be? Is your daughter at L.C.F? thats where I went but doing the costume side of it. I was always being dragged (all pun intended) in to be a model, wish I still had the photos!

I am acquiring at very reasonable prices, the Lowry's of the sewing world. Or to put it another way friggy... MASTERPIECES of the future. So don't dawdle and delay, put your money where your mouth is and BUY!
Sorry I'm so bossy, but I just want every admiring fan to have a piece of the action before the prices rocket as I know they will.
Phew, I feel better now, think I better go and have a lie down in the hammock to recover. LLX
