It has been a little quiet around here just lately! It seems, I have mislaid my mojo...not sure where it has gone but I am hoping it returns soon!
Sewing and making are a little limited at the moment and because I wanted to touch base with you, I thought I would walk around our house and take a few photos of some of my 'things' that make me happy!
French linen...adore it, handwoven, slubby, imperfect, monogrammed gorgeousness. Can't get enough of it.
Buttons... I have been collecting buttons for a long time now and they don't really come anymore gorgeous than these m o p carved French beauties...
Just a few pretties...a painted powder puff box with a tiny round box sitting on top, which was a gift from a lovely lady. Hand carved doggies and a tiny nest...I adore nests, to me they are small miraculous sculptures. One pleasure of winter is to see dark nests sitting in bare branches.
A darling little teddy, at least 60 years old and a papier mache painted box given to me by a very dear friend.

More pretties...
French bowl with French mop buttons, hand carved stone and a bone tatting shuttle thingy...
Back of a picture, which is definitely more pleasing than the front A vtg Ostrich feather and a small collection of handmade vessels, made in Shropshire.
I have been collecting empty domed glass picture frames and just lying them on the mantelpiece, alongside family photographs and a vintage wax orange blossom wedding head piece.

Lovely things. Can you use the tatting shuttle? I did a wee bit for my C&G Creative Textile course - musty say I wouldn't want to do the edge of a wedding veil or anything but the couple of bits I did were fun. Love those last two pics with the black button noses!

Hello lovely lady, how I would love a snoop around your home you have such interesting things. Is that a real nest? We have one in the shed which I have always wanted to bring indoors. Hope you are keeping your spirits up. Let me know when you journey up north next
Goodmorning, maybe your mojo is hiding in the corner with mine they are in a secret little place with that little dash of self pity I have been sipping on and over on the left is a tiny little woe is me,however coming through the edge of the cutain nearby is a little ray of sunshine, and that means that hope is creeping in and that it is almost or maybe definately time to shake myself off,get over the hump and get on with it,I am not terminal so what gives me the right to think I can go within and curl up feotal like! lol you have your mojo it is right there in your lovely post, thankyou for sharing your pretties, even doing that must have made you feel so warm and nice.Have a lovely day and know we are all in this blog life together.Carole xx(no readers I am not mental lol just trying to get over myself lol).

All things nice...
Its lovely to hear from you again. I enjoyed the tour.
Gorgeous French buttons! I don't think I could ever bear to use them, they deserve to be framed. Thanks for showing us around!
Thank you for the tour -- it wouldn't gone half as fast if I'd been there so I could touch each and everything. Its all beautiful and each grouping tells is very own story.
Such lovely treasures. I count myself lucky when I have to go into town and stop by a charity shop that has old linens for a few pence. I am stashing them away against a winter project.
What, please, is a 'mojo'? Sorry to be so ignorant.
What a little treasure chest of delightful bits and bobs. Hope your mojo returns soon - I love looking at all you do!
Hey Viv, keep looking your mojo is there somewhere. Lovely photos, gorgeous MOP buttons and bits and pieces that you have collected.
Love the butterflies too.
Sending sunny, Springtime greetings from Oz.
Ooh, Viv, pure prettiness! You are so extraordinarily talented. Thanks for sharing. J x
viv-I think I lost my mojo too. Too many things going on. I visited a new artist friend on Monday for help. Ive been doing ART for a long time and with my Ed's bad health etc. I feel worn out. She had some great advice about using Facebook more and just trying to reconnect with people and I have been doing so over the last couple of days and I already feel inspired. I love selling vintage stuff too. I feel it is an art of sorts. I hope you do feel better soon. It has to be so frustrating. Thinking of you! jenny
What a crative post! Such great treasures!! I love the domed picture frames! Wendy
How gorgeous! We all need to remind ourselves sometimes of the little things that make ourlives worth living :)
Thanks for sharing your treasures with us!
I feel sure your mojo is just taking a short break and will return asap refreshed and ready to create yet more yummy things! I have fallen for that ted..he needs a good snuggle!!
Oh lovely lovely Viv, you are such a talented lady with a wonderful eye for the pretties :-)
I think this time of year is quite common for losing ones mojo. I have felt rather flat and listless lately and other creative friends of mine are feeling the same. It will come back.
I have LOADS of the Tibor fabric so if you wanted a bit I have plenty to spare and at a good price for you. See you soon xxx
I think if you wore one of your tiaras all day today it might help you rediscover your mojo. Hope so.
Aaaaaah, the Archies ....
Darlink - how is it possible for you to ever leave the house when everywhere you turn is filled with such gorgeousness?
That doggy on a bobbin, that teddy, beads, buttons, bows, flowers......bliss.......
Now Mr.Mojo, I want a word with you
"it is high time you got your a*** into gear, get thee to home of henny teeth and do your stuff Mr.!"
I think that should do it Viv!
Flowery spriggery from The Lane,

I love to snoop and feast my eyes upon the treasures that folk gather around them. So many things to please the eye and fill the heart... particularly those glass domes and the little wooden doggies..

What a lot of truly ;ovely things to look at - such treasures Viv. I adore those MOP buttons on their little card - seriously precious. I hope you're having a good weekend x
a friend came over the other day and will be popping to your blog shortly - she adored the creation you made for me and the way it helped me let go of stuff - files my dad had for example, and his leather jacket ...
thanks for always sharing lovely things ...
