Why do you keep a coming around, playing with my heart?...

 Hello
I was given a bag of silk threads, colour co-ordinated into elastic banded bundles.
It made my heart ache, as just the tiniest wisp had been saved.   From a time when it mattered.

I am very happy to say that I have a three page article in this coming issue of Haute Handbags
I sent my purses off to America and Stampington Publications did such a beautiful job
of photographing them.

I have been updating the Etsy shop, which if any of you follow my Facebook Page, you will be sick of the sight of...but anyhow, the shop is full of Hen's Teeth 'makes'.
Brooches
 Altered tin artworks
Brooches ... look at the shoes and the pinny!
Just to finish.
I will be having a stand at the very beautiful

Looking forward to this Fair very much.
Thanks very much for stopping by. x

Fate, Hope and Charity

Sending you (if you have a mo) to an excellent post by the wondrous Flamin Nora ... her latest post is a review of the Fate, Hope and Charity Exhibition at the The Foundling Museum which I am hoping to visit soon.   Interesting and heartbreaking history.
Thanks for stopping by. x

Just a quickie...

Just a quick note and a few hastily taken snaps of Selvedge Fair at Chelsea Old Town Hall, London yesterday.
Thank you for your kind comments on my last post.
I had a wonderful time down London town and stood in awe at the fabulous work for sale, lovingly made and or sourced by talented makers and sellers.

Thanks for stopping by. x

I will sit right down, waiting for the gift of sound and vision

 Hello,
just a little update!
This is a great book.   If you embroider or just starting out, this is the only book you will need.  Full of fabulous inspiration and comprehensive instructions in every kind of hand and machine embroidery stitch and technique.

There is one of my purses in there too.
My old blogging friend kaylacoo has a very lovely feature.
and the amazing work of tinctory is featured too, along with many others.

You can buy the book direct from Sophie and perhaps ask her to sign it :)   I purchased the paperback version.   Thanks to LynnHolland for telling me it was published.

Life has been on hold since booking Selvedge Fair.  It's a two day Fair, as you probs know, but I am just exhibiting on the Saturday.   I arranged a  mock up today...phew, I've done as much as I can now.
I bought a pot of Snakeshead Fritillary for the stand...their beautiful flowers are a sight to see and everytime I see one, I think of Charles Rennie Macintosh's stunning artwork.( UniversityofGlasgow )
So, here are a few things I am taking with me.
Now, this little tin promises relief from indigestion, heartburn, flatulence and acidity...not so sure the contents would be able to help now...

and another little tin.

purses
 wall hangings
 girls with long ears...

more wall hangings...

So that just about winds me up for today,
thank you so much for stopping by. x
