to see it, to feel it...

surface embellishment

frayed edges
worn smooth, soft cotton against handwoven linen

I feel for you, I think I love you...

You may remember my story a few posts ago about 'Wonkey Donkey' getting into all sorts of trouble and very nearly being chewed to pieces by my Mum and Dad's Dog!   I managed to repair him and he is now as good as new but, oh so sad looking.   I thought maybe he needed more companionship, as Donkeys are very socialable creatures...Well, guess what, I managed to track down Wonkey's long lost brother...
 'One eyed Wonkey'!

He has his two ears intact and a little wisp of fluff on his tail but unfortunately, he lost his eye way back in the past, which he won't talk about, to anyone.
When  wound up his ears go up and down and his tail spins.   He is very clever.
'One eyed Wonkey' and 'Wonkey Donkey' have a lot of lost time to make up and so many stories to tell
each other...
that 'Mechanical Mike' and 'Dixie Donkey'  feel a little left out.

Every time just like the last, on her ship tied to the mast...

Hello,
Thankyou so much for all of the wonderful comments I received from my last post.   I am so grateful for all the kind and supportive words. I apologise if I didn't thank you personally.

You may have noticed that I have a new header, which is a photo of a piece of Canadian patchwork quilt, sent to me by the kindest of Fairy Godmothers.   The beautiful textile piece was sent with trims, laces and silk, just because she knew I would adore them.
Thank you so much kind lady

As you probably know, I have been very inspired by American primitive art and have been working on these characters...Peter and Pamela Prim.
I thought I would make them a little more three dimentional.

I'm really happy how they turned out and will be making more.

Finally, to close I just wanted to tell you that I am having a sale on a few items in my Etsy shop and for a short time, there is free shipping on every piece...if you fancy, take a peek :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by. x
