Persisting down

Text in a nice spring green today. And seeing that it is still persisting down. We all have a face as long as this last wet week :-) here, we need a nice cheery colour. Sorry to harp on about the weather, so boring.
Anyway. I have squirred myself away and got on with making lots of greetings cards using some of the 100s of buttons I have acquired. Don't know what it is but I can't get enough of them. I don't know why. Barking mad maybe???
Changing the subject rather dramatically......
It is my Holly's 17th birthday tomorrow. Yesterday I spent the day trailing round Top Shop like a little puppy dog but with a purse. Is it just me that hates going shopping with their daughters for clothes? Or any family member come to that???? I find it exhausting, irritating and expensive. Finding myself surrounded by skinny, young things , and to make matters worse, I catch a glimpse of myself, the old fat bird in the mirror, as we twist and turn around the hangers and it just makes the whole thing a lot worse!!!! I do insist though on sitting down somewhere half pleasant and having a very large skinny latte which helps to keep me going through adversity;-)

cards are mucho lovely:)
Topshop isn't the best of destinations if you aren't whippet thin. It's the music that gets to me when Stella drags me in there....
Hope your daughter has a nice Birthday tomorrow:)

Happy birthday to your daughter, I have sons, but shopping with them is pretty daunting at times.

I'm with you there Sister! ButI had boys and they were worse. I was one of those 'I'm not paying 70 quid for a pair of trainers' brigade,so I suppose it was worse for them!

I remember the topshop trips well, or should we call them the hold my bag and coat and sit over there for hours whilst I prance in and out of the changing room with my size 8 clothes that wouldn't fit over your leg trips!!

Ooo I love the pretty recycling. I've been recycling business envelopes recently too (although yours are much prettier).
I consider myself a 'young thing' (early 20s) but recently I have realised that I detest Topshop and the like. I hadn't been clothes shopping for a year until last week but even then I couldn't do it - the shops were more like nightclubs with their flashy lights and loud music! I bought socks. Old before my time?
