It's the little things in life........

Took myself and Holly to Shrewsbury, Shropshire today. Such a lovely, interesting town. One of a few towns left in the area that has individual shops, boutiques, antique shops. All the other local towns seems to consist of Opticians, High Street Stores and Building Societies. Anyway, less of the moaning........ we wandered around an antique shop and I managed to pick this beatiful old box advertising Showboat Kunzel Cakes. I though maybe it was American but on closer inspection the Bakery was in Granville, Birmingham. Who would have thought. I am going to use it to house greetings cards when I do a Craft Fair. On the same stand I purchased this card of beautiful glass buttons for only £2.50. Finds like these make the world go around!

Look at you staying up late now you don't have to get up for work!
I rememebr my Aunte Rene (Pronounced Reee knee!) in Walsall going on about Kunzel cakes when I was little.

Oh dear! Showing my age, but I remember Kunzle cakes from my youth. They were incredibly sickly in retrospect, but were such a treat because they were unlike anything else at the time.

you definitely got a bargain with the glass buttons. On the portobello road I was looking at a card maybe twice that size and they were £24. I love them so much I dont know how I resisted, but alas I did. these are gorgeous you lucky thing!!
