The dry cleaning of which I must tell you about. I took coat to cleaners, upon entering said premises, I asked the assistant if they dry cleaned 1940's tweed coats? "yes", she said, "let's have a look". She then proceeded to look for washing instructions inside the coat! "You will not find washing instructions, it's 1940's", I said. She then looked at the maker's label, which says 'Tweed' and loudly announced "this coat is made of Tweed and you should ever put it in the washing machine". "Yes, I know", I said, "that is why I have bought it to you........ duh". The exchange carried on in that vain. I left the coat with her, but with a feeling of unease, which stayed with me until I picked it up. Needless to say, I reclaimed my coat with much trepidation on Friday but I'm glad to say they did a grand job of it and I am wearing said item above!The Fair that my daughter, Holly, and I did yesterday is situated in the old factory of Chubb Safe, Lock and Key .....no heating. As the day wore on, our life force ebbed away. Poor Holly fighting the urge to dither.

I found this box of 6 Babycham glasses with original box at Oxfam last week. Could'nt say no, so used it to display my papier mache hearts.
Considering the blasted 'credit crunch' I did'nt do too badly. I met up with lots of friends, one of which being Sam of piccalily and blossom. She gave me a beautiful felt heart and card, which made my day!

Your dry cleaning story doesn’t surprise me…it is amazing in a sad way that in living memory ‘young’ people know very little of life even 30 -40 years ago.
However moving on to your fantastic stall it looked wonderful. Using the Babycham glasses was inspired and a perfect foil to your creations.
