You could have a steam train, if you'd just lay down your tracks...

Hello
I hope all is well with you.
I wanted to show you a few handbags I have made using vintage French linen. I am so happy to be able to use this exquisite, mostly hand woven fabric with it's slubs and imperfections...perfect, I would say! I am trying to build up some stock for The Wear House, Ludlow and for homespun fair, Portscatho, Cornwall on 8th August next. Homespun is such a lovely Fair, great atmosphere, great setting! What more can I say...it's set in Cornwall!
Anyroadup...here are a few shots of some of the bags...

One wee small purse ...
and these Corset Suspender Brooches...

I have quite a lot to celebrate at the moment, with opening my little shop and having you lovely folks stopping by and leaving comments, so I thought I would have a small 'giveaway'. If you would like to leave a comment, for any reason, even if it's just to say 'hello'.....I will put the names in a hat, next Sunday and pick a winner. The winner will receive a Suspender brooch (not yet made??!!!) and a brand new copy of 'Cloth', pictured below. I am really taken with 'Cloth', it's fab :-)and finally, Billy Button Nose....he is six months old now and an absolute darling. We all love him so very much and he has made us very happy.....

thanks so much for stopping by. x

I'm a model you know what I mean, And I do my little turn on the catwalk...

Hello,
a post of many pictures today! I thought you may like to see how The Wear-House is evolving. The various rooms will probably change daily, as most shops do, but this place just gets better and better. We shall hopefully have a blog and website up and running soon for lots more info.
Here is the 50's inspired coffee lounge... A French chair and garden gnome, as you do...
entrance leading through to the walled courtyard garden...

looking up...walled garden...(the property was built in 1740, so you can imagine how lovely the walls of the garden are)...
decorative interiors and antiques, from Annie...

hen's teeth and Thursa's room...

'Pretty Rubbish' are two young gorgeous girls who rework clothing into wonderful vintage inspired pieces...
'Vintage Cate' and Zanie Sue's room...
my lovely young friend Ellie and her vintage clothing...
brand new textiles range from Ede...
and finally, decorative interiors and antiques from Jane...

I will have links and more info for anyone interested in popping along to visit The Wear-House and Ludlow soon...
I wanted to finish by showing you a couple of images of our dining area at home. It won't be long before a request is put in to clear a bit more space, from the current husband....till then I'm keeping stum.
I have enjoyed just putting this and that together and get daily pleasure from 'playing' with my bits and bobs. Not so much pleasure though, when the eyes are dragged to the left...(see pic below)...Three weeks of ironing, sitting there, rising higher and higher by the hour, looking at me.... misery and boredom written all over the weary pile! :-)
Thanks so much to all of your good wishes and again, I do apologise for not replying to lovely comments, but I have had to book at week off at work to try and 'catch up'....
Thanks for stopping by. x

Sun is shining in the sky, there ain't a cloud in sight, it's stopped rainin'...

Hello,
I hope all is well with you and yours.
A couple of things I wanted to tell you about.
Firstly last Saturday was a memorably lovely day, spent at the originalvintageandhandmadefair , textile fair, to be precise.
I was lucky enough to have my stand at the side of katies beautiful stall. Katie is truly a sweet and lovely girl and I wish her every success with her Textile Treasure Seeking venture.
If you fancy a giggle, take a look at sals post about the fair....the current husband makes a debut, as such, on the vintage and handmade scene ;-)
Thank you very much to michele and jayne for organising such a truly happy day.

The publishers of clothpaperscissors have just released a new e-book ~ Quilting Arts 'In Stitches' and I am very happy to tell you that my brooches are featured within this book.
The feature covers how to make the brooches with a step-by-step guide and lots of useful information...but there is much, much more in the book. Although I'm biased, it is really a great publication, very user friendly with lots of interesting artists, videos, links, how to's and generally very inspiring. Oh, btw my brooch article launches a 'brooch swop' too, organised by the magazine! Take a look at Pokey Bolton's intro. quiltingartsinstitches
Well I think that's about me for this evening. Thank you so much for stopping by. x
