Let's make the best of the situation, before I finally go insane, please don't say we'll never find a way and tell me all my love's in vain...

Hello!
I hope all is well with you and yours.
Me?   Well, I'm still struggling with fibromyalgia .
It's a real problem, as dealing with constant pain, brain fog and extreme fatigue, all of the time, no let up, is a damn nuisance.   I have, however, been referred to a Pain Clinic, where I will receive advice on self help i.e. breathing/relaxing techniques, learning to pace activity, dealing with depression etc.  So I am very much looking forward to starting that soon.
Anyroadup, enough of that...
I wanted to tell you how happy I am to have been honoured with a published article in
Stampington's Somerset Holidays and Celebrations, just out on the news stands, I believe.
An article about my embroidered collaged envelopes.

I think the photography is lovely and I just wanted to share my good news with you.
~0~
I've been busy with new designs, making and filling up my shops.
I have a set of four greetings cards for sale here
Lots of hand stitchery texture ~  brooch hearts.

and small coin purses...
with Kit the Cat and
 Bill and Bert the birds...
Thank you so much for calling by and for all of the smashing comments left on previous posts,
very much appreciated, every single one. x

You must be so proud, that will keep your spirits up for a few weeks at least! I do love the idea of stitched postcards, how brilliant and special. I don't the postal worker would want to let go of them LOL.
I do feel for you on your pain, I hope these things help. I know the slow and meditative heavey breaths can help with stress, and are very good for smokers who want to give up.

HUGS

My sister-in-law brought me back one of thos mags from USA last year and they are so good. Can you get them over here do you know?

Viv,

I swear I feel like a proud sister about your work being published.
The pictures are Fabulous, yes!
I know the pain clinic will work, they have such good success, and the accupuncture someone mentioned might be helpful too. How about regular body massages?

I hope your pain eases soon, there is nothing worse than constant pain :-( Hopefully he pain clinic will help you cope with it as it must be very hard to cope with it without any techniques in place.

Gorgeous creations by the way, I do love your embroidery, so dainty and gorgeous fabric and colour combinations.

Take care xxx

Oh congratulations Viv! And I love the sweet birdy purse!

I hope you get on well at the pain clinic. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 3 years ago, and haven't had much support from my GP at all.

If you visit About.com and look up fibromyalgia, it has a lot of helpful stuff.

Feel free to contact me too...

Well done on the article in the mag. They are very professionally produced so your work will look great.
I can recommend you a book to help with FM as I suffer myself and have found it very useful: it's called Living with Fibromyalgia by Christine Craggs-Hinton. I think that understanding why is part way to coping with the symptoms.

congrats on the article. hope the referral helps with the chronic pain.
is a day filled with pain "a perfect day"? There are many on a spiritual path who would say so. What a hard stance to maintain, tho!

Sheeprustler said...

Congratulations on the article, your work is so gorgeous that it is richly deserved :) Good luck with the referral, I am having a bad flare up of FM atm and it is making work (and life)a bit miserable.

Dear Viv, How are you feeling today? Hope that it is a better one and that your pain is being 'well behaved' this morning.

I am still on the accupunture route for my 'pain in the neck', it helps a bit, sleeping a little better, no real solution for nerve pain but it helps. If you get given the 'magic formular' please let me know how you get on.

Now for he best bit....

'CONGRATULATIONS' on your fantastic news, well done. I am thrilled for you. As you say, great photo's, do they say lovely things about you too... No doubt they do.

Love and hugs from a sunny, and windy part of Essex ~ Julie x
