The minute you walked in the joint...

 Hello,
a very 'random' quick post...just to say that the most extraordinary thing happened here today.   I looked up early this morning and instead of the steel grey low sky, generally persisting it down with varying quantities of water, I saw this...I had to go and sit down with a strong cup of coffee to recover from the shock.   We have not had a day, that I can remember in weeks, where it hasn't rained at some point during the day.  So a bit of blue is most welcome :)
Another reason to smile is that after being home for three and half months, our youngest is moving out again for her final year at Uni...and breathe.
The 'stuff' of her Uni life has filled every nook and cranny of our home since May, so although I shall miss her dreadfully, I will not miss the stuff!
And finally, no more moaning, just to say how much I am enjoying embellishing lovely old envelopes.   They are a joy to work with.
I have some for sale here UK postage.
Thanks so much for stopping by. x

I do love those envelopes! So so pretty and most original. Yes, we had blue sky here in North Wales this morning but as its my first day off work I had to do house tidying..... now its clouded over again! But I'm ready for the next time there's enough to "patch a sailor's trousers". :o)

I know exactly how you feel - I have two daughters who are both going back to Uni for their third year and our house has really been groaning at the seams! One is going tomorrow and the other will be going in a couple of weeks after she gets back from a holiday.

We have had blue sky today as well here up north in Cumbria - I've been out cutting the grass.

Happy days

Our children left Uni and home years ago - but we still have 'stuff'! One moved abroad and can't take everything, the others don't have room in their small flats! They are very busy and are never home long enough to even say what they still want. Perhaps one day!
Love your work Viv, always so creative and imaginative.

Ooh lavinia got a birdie on her head, love it! We have had a few sells of blue sky and some gorgeous sunset skies, almost as if it is on fire. Big spender was my late father's favourite song, always brings a smile to my face! jayne x

My Girlie is just back from New Zealand and yes, I missed her while she was gone but not all the stuff ( was kind of hoping I could keep her room for my sewing/art )not to mention hairclips, wet towels, empty coffee pots. Maybe I can convince her to go back to Uni!
