New envelope

Had a really great response to the last embroidered envelope, so here is another ( I don't need much encouragement). I am drawn towards the postage stamps though, the subtle colours and the franking marks are a thing of beauty to me! The stories that these little pieces of paper could tell......... if only. This particular envelope, as you can see, was posted in 1947 from Plymouth, Pennsylvania, to Stourbridge, England ~ just how interesting is that?

These envelopes are heavenly. your embroidery is so sensitive they look as though they might flutter off all on their own.
Great idea about the chickens. My friend has some I think I'll borrow a couple. (And I have been drinking!)

They're wonderful! The way they are addressed in 'proper' handwriting adds such a personal touch. You've incorporated it so beautifully!
There's a big bag in my studio full of stamps and hallmarks waiting for their time to come.

How would you like to be tagged?
The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
I won't be offended if you don't play!
