On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair...

Hello,

thank you very much for your kind comments of support and friendship,

There is one place left on the Workshop!

I have also had a fabulous reaction to these bags that I have been making just lately.
Just popped this one into Etsyland.

I had the most wonderful package arrive yesterday, from my friend
RenaAskey from Wisconsin!

I have never received such a stunning envelope before...
Her calligraphy is incredible.   I would love to be able to write so beautifully,
the little notes she has written too...made me smile...
Miss Viv in Merry ol' England!...tee hee

Rena had kindly sent a piece of crazy quilt made into a stocking,
which I shall use each Christmas now...
these lovely old pieces of pretty cotton, which I shall have lots of fun using...
I am, indeed, a lucky girl...thank you so much Rena.
Another big thank you to you, for stopping by. x

Hello!
This blog post is as random as the title!
~0~
I have been updating the Etsy Shop
and the madebyhandonline shop...goodness it takes time and tenacity!
But anyway, at least the shops are now stocked.

I have been honoured with a beautiful article in the new publication of 'Haute Handbags',
if I can remember rightly, due out in May.

A four page feature of Hen's Teethy handbags :)
Stampington have styled the pages so beautifully.

Lots of very stylish handmade bags in the publication with great ideas.

Talking of lovely publications, I treated myself to this Country Living ... well, I'm not sure if you would call it a magazine or a book...book, I suppose.
Full of all my fav CL features.
£10.
I have stopped buying magazines just lately, as they have become so expensive,
no room to store them and I would much rather save up and buy a book.

They do such incredible work.
I would have at least another two dogs, if the current husband had not reigned me in.

I'm no good at chatting up and I always get rebuffed...

Hello!
Just a few pics of a very quick dash to Cornwall over the Easter weekend.
Stunning Fowey.

and onto homespun Fair, which took place on Easter Monday.

 Super day in every way.
Jane and Gertie did such  a handsome job of organising a fantastic Fair.
The following day we travelled home, but first we drove along the coastal road from Newquay to Padstow.
Below ... one of the coves, along this stunning part of the world.
Onto Padstow and of course, the purchase of a Pasty.

Stopped to have this delicious cup of coffee,
to watch the world and his dog walk by :)
Yes, you are seeing right...a Bassett Hound in a doggy buggy.
We did have a lovely hour in Padstow, before we started on our four hour journey home.
We dropped the cloak of responsibility and enjoyed a wonderful holiday atmosphere, in beautiful surroundings, just for a few minutes.

Anyroadup...
I wanted to introduce you to a new family member.
His name is 'Jointed Jim'.

JJ and I met at Homespun Fair and he told me about his life.
Sadly, a tale of woe, as he has one eye missing and a replaced ear, skillfully administered by Jane.   Jointed Jim told me how happy he is with his new ear, it has made him feel whole again.   I asked him if he fancied moving in with the crew, here at Hen's Teeth Heights.  I know that Mechanical Mike, Dixie Donkey, One Eyed Donkey and Wonkey Donkey would be very happy to have a new member of the family...he thankfully said 'yes' and here they are, all chatting and getting to know one another.
One eyed Donkey and Jointed Jim, I think, are going to be the best of friends.

Thanks for stopping by. x

Hello,
Happy Easter holiday time!
Just a few pics to show you of my stand at Selvedge Fair, last Saturday.
I have popped a link to Facebook/Selvedge's photos of the day.
The most exquisite selection of homeware, art and fashion...
I had the best day.
(A little surprise when a bag of fabric pieces were given to me out of the blue too, from I think
englishvintage , lovely lady, who was visiting the Fair ... I hope I have got that right!  Thank you.)

I am very fond of this Fair.   It has a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere, wonderful sellers with very desirable vintage and handmade pieces, set in beautiful surroundings...always a pleasure to be visiting the Roseland Peninsular.

and finally,

there are just a few places left on my Haberdashery Hand Sewn Brooches Workshop.
