Round, like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel...

The Windmills of your mind Performed by Noel Harrison

Hello!
xThank you so much for all your kind comments left on my previous post.x
~0~
I have had a lovely couple of surprises just lately.

Firstly, back in October rebecca from poshyarns asked if I could submit a couple of images for possible inclusion in an article 'What's on the Web', she was writing for Handmade Living.
I share the article with seedsandstitches and jessieandbuddugtheshop .

I also received a copy of Sew Somerset and towards the back ...
a small feature about one of my needlecases.

I am a very lucky girl.
~0~
I have spent today updating Folksy, Etsy and madebyhandonline.
All my shops can be found at the top under the header, if you fancy a butchers.

Hand stitched necklace, made from antique Parisian velvet millinery leaves and American softly, worn, torn Suffolk Puffs.
The necklace is shown here on a very small Form.

Needlecase...

Purses...
Over the last ten years or so, as a mum of two growing girls, I could and still now, never wholly rely on going to my cosmetics and finding it all there.   Nothing is sacred....tweezers, mascara, hair brush, straighteners...oh the list goes on and on.   I'm sure many of you will understand this phenomena.   So I thought that this little zipped purse/cosmetics pouch might make things perfectly clear.
Back of purse
Front of purse
Two handbags with long handles for wearing across the body.

Finally onto a pattern I bought from this sublime Hay-on-Wye Drapers merchant and mills.
They have a core collection of dress patterns, fabrics and notions.
The patterns are a thing of beauty, made of card.
Simple and beautiful.
So here is my pattern for the Trapeze dress.
I have ordered my pure wool suiting fabric from eBay and I will show you the mess I make of it,
when completed.
I can put a bag and a purse together, but a dress is another matter.
Wish me luck, I may be gone some time!

I had a fabulous day at the V&H Fair.
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and supported Hen's Teeth...
a day to remember.
Thanks for stopping by. x

Hi Viv
It was great to see you both on Saturday, I'm only sorry I didn't get much of a chance to have a wander and a spend! I love the necklace you have made, absolutely stunning, you are very clever.

Of course I LOVE it all...your birds are so whimsical and evocative. I adore the purse, so much, and yes, you are lucky, but you DESERVE it.

Love catching up with you.

Love across the miles and keep that needle flying,

Great to hear that you are being published and getting more recognition... and as for 'nothing is sacred' (sigh.. that's something I mutter on a regular basis). If I had a pound for every time I go searching for an eyeliner... some powder.. a pair of my shoes... and find them in my teenage girls rooms.. I'd be a very rich woman indeed :) x

Congrats on all the new publications.
Your goodies tear at the heartstrings... I can see why they would find your art a perfect subject.
