I'm no good at chatting up and I always get rebuffed...

Hello!
Just a few pics of a very quick dash to Cornwall over the Easter weekend.
Stunning Fowey.

and onto homespun Fair, which took place on Easter Monday.

 Super day in every way.
Jane and Gertie did such  a handsome job of organising a fantastic Fair.
The following day we travelled home, but first we drove along the coastal road from Newquay to Padstow.
Below ... one of the coves, along this stunning part of the world.
Onto Padstow and of course, the purchase of a Pasty.

Stopped to have this delicious cup of coffee,
to watch the world and his dog walk by :)
Yes, you are seeing right...a Bassett Hound in a doggy buggy.
We did have a lovely hour in Padstow, before we started on our four hour journey home.
We dropped the cloak of responsibility and enjoyed a wonderful holiday atmosphere, in beautiful surroundings, just for a few minutes.

Anyroadup...
I wanted to introduce you to a new family member.
His name is 'Jointed Jim'.

JJ and I met at Homespun Fair and he told me about his life.
Sadly, a tale of woe, as he has one eye missing and a replaced ear, skillfully administered by Jane.   Jointed Jim told me how happy he is with his new ear, it has made him feel whole again.   I asked him if he fancied moving in with the crew, here at Hen's Teeth Heights.  I know that Mechanical Mike, Dixie Donkey, One Eyed Donkey and Wonkey Donkey would be very happy to have a new member of the family...he thankfully said 'yes' and here they are, all chatting and getting to know one another.
One eyed Donkey and Jointed Jim, I think, are going to be the best of friends.

Thanks for stopping by. x

Hi Viv
I think I need to get on the waiting list for that one. That seems like my perfect weekend. I love the use of the stairs pic. As far as jointed Jim joining the gang, I think as he sounds as though he may have had a dubious pirate smuggler past he could do with an eye patch.
LOL!

The fair looks lovely Viv and looks like you had better weather than us here in the Midlands. I've got a wonky donkey also, you wind him up and his tail goes round and he nods his head! Love your collection of old characters and I'm sure jointed Jim will feel at home with them all. Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Viv, It was nice to meet you on Monday I wish I could have chatted to you and the other Fibro sufferer but my mouth was so sore and only got worse as the day went on. Needed antibiotics by Tuesday and still sore today but I was determined to come to Homespun.I live near Redruth so its not too far for me. I just love Jointed Jim I have his brother in my collection. We call him Patch as he has been loved so much he now has very little fur left. Will you be down for the August fair, Lynne xxx

Aah ha... I now know the reason why...
you have taken me under your wing...
Social misfits, one-eyed jacks and folk with one leg and a swinger are all fair game to you...
