I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing, ain't pretty and my legs are thin...

Hello!

It has taken a full week for me to get my act together and post pics of last Thursday's
Decorative Living Fair at Eridge Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, organised
by Caroline Zoob and Hetty Purbridge.
Despite the appauling weather, the Fair was perfect in every way.
I managed to take a few pictures of the day.  So sorry they are not linked, but they are just a taster of the exquisite stands and gorgeous and desirable decorative pieces to buy.

Just look at the stone rabbit and the lettice plant :)

I had a perfect day.   I had the best of friends visit me, who thoroughly spoilt me/us.
The current husband and I were surprised by a visit from our eldest girl, who had left home over three months ago for a job in London...needless to say the tissues were needed by her Mother, who completely lost all composure.
I met some wonderful bloggy friends and made new friends with fellow stall holders.
Sold purses, bags and brooches to lovely ladies....

Thank you so much to all involved for such a splendid day!

Now, back on planet Hen's Teeth, I am making like a woman possessed for vintageandhandmade Fair at Chipping Sodders on 26th May.

As this is a creative blog, I tend not to mention personal or private matters, but I would just like to say that after two breast biopsies for a lump I found, I have just had six very worrying weeks and have happily now been given the 'all clear'.
Just to say, (and I know you don't need me to tell you) but,
please don't forget to check yourselves regularly girls.
I am feeling very relieved and thankful, right now.

Thanks for stopping by. x

The fair looks gorgeous Viv and I'm so pleased you had a lovely day despite the typical British weather. So pleased also to hear you have been given the all clear after what must have been six weeks of agony, I had a similar thing happen a few years back so I can empathise. See you at Chipping Sodders (Love it,I am always going to call it that now :))
Much Love

First of all thank goodness you are safe and sound in health it is horrible waiting for the results.I thought you were describing me till you got to the skinny legs lol then I knew it was not!I don't know how many times I oohed and ahhed at the pics just so mouth watering all those lovely pieces and the most wonderful surprise for you seeing your daughter. Now what made me smile the most was your wording "current husband" does that mean he is still on trial or is he a keeper..it gave me such a little laugh I thought I had never heard of one's husband as current..I will think of this when i need a smile.

"But don't ask what I think of you, I might not give you the answer you want me to." What a fabulous post, sharing your utterly gorgeous work, sharing a special family moment and even more special your wonderful news - what a relief for you and all those around you!!! I do check my girls regularly, I know too many ladies who have been/are going through such a terrible disease! I love your bags by the way, I've not caught up with Blogs lately and yours was the first one I've checked out - great start to the evening! XO

So pleased for you that you remain healthy in the chestly area. And congrats on the Decorative Fair - the stands look great. I especially love the first photo of the purse with the floral applique, because this is what I really enjoy doing - mostly on quilts but sometimes on other stuff. Great photos, thak you, and good luck at Chipping Sod.
